How Wrkmark Jobs Matching Works
Transparent, unbiased, and merit-first matching connecting verified tech talent with hiring companies.
The basics
When a company posts a role, our engine scores every active candidate profile against it. No applications. No manual screening. Candidates appear automatically in ranked order on the hiring manager's shortlist.
What we score (4 factors)
Skills Match
40% weightWe check whether your skills match the role's required skills exactly. Each required skill is checked against your profile. Years of experience must meet the minimum. Zero required skill matches = zero score.
Salary Compatibility
25% weightWe compare salary ranges in USD. Your minimum expectation must be within the company's maximum budget. Company offering more than you expect = perfect score.
Experience Level
20% weightTotal years of professional experience vs role requirement. Meeting or exceeding the requirement receives a full score.
Working Hours & Timezone
15% weightBinary match: either you can work the required hours or you can't. Self-reported by candidates during profile setup.
What we don't score (yet)
Work history titles, company prestige, or education institution. We score what you can actually do, not where you've been.
Keeping matches fair
Skills you claim but can't demonstrate will be discovered in interviews. Companies mark misrepresented profiles as “Not Selected”. This doesn't affect your score but helps us improve matching over time.
